![]() ![]() ![]() They aren't as pleasant to shoot as the Makarov, but they do seem to be as accurate.Īll of the above are worth having, but if you were looking for a C&R gun to carry or do home defense with, the CZ52 would be my last choice. I don't have the CZ82/83 yet, but the ones I have fired seem to be pretty nice. The Makarov is accurate, reliable, and rugged. This puts almost 9mm NATO power in a fairly small and concealable package. Overall it is more versatile jack-of-all-trades. The Makarov is a neat little pistol, about the size of a Walther PP, but packing the punch of 9 x 18. Isnt the CZ-82 is a much more complex gun so if stuff breaks it will be harder to fix But overall if it was a choice of someones one and only handgun to between Makarov or CZ-82, Id go CZ-82 due to higher capacity, ambi controls, ability to be DA or SA cocked and locked. It's fairly flat so it conceals well, and it's very rugged. It almost brings to mind a 1911 in icepick caliber. It's a more refined feeling pistol than the CZ52. ![]() There are few holsters for it, save the military pigskin, and it does have issues with both the firing pin's fragility and the sometimes faulty decocking mechanism. The pistol is large, and it's not overly concealable. As stated, it puts a small diameter round, down range at high velocity, with no expansion. What is your intended use for this pistol?
